Happy Valentines Day!!! If you spend excessive amounts of money because of the day then you are a fool! Be classy and making something your partner likes; be it food, art, music, ect… After all, in the end the worth should be the amount of thought and consideration for them and not the price tag.

In the case of the picture, I really enjoyed drawing this, and again; black and white. I think it is my forte or at the least something I lean toward quite a bit. Don’t worry though I’ll still keep up with my colored works:)

Earlier this year I lost my phone and had to get a new one. The phone I chose was the samsung galaxy s (captivate). Now there is a lot I like about the phone and some things I hate, however what I really love is the screen used for the display. It uses o-led (organic light emitting diode) to back light the screen resulting in the most impressive contrast ratio I have ever seen on a phone. I just had to see how black and white illustrations would look on the phone so I created these images. The dimension match for the galaxy s however it may be a bit small or big for other android devices.

Please be aware they may not be completely work safe; that said there is no nudity… Ahem.

Hello! I’m still kicking I’ve just been really busy with life and new job opportunities. To be more specific I’m working for some buddies of mine in New York with regards to 3d, 2d, and anything else in between! It’s great since I’m doing what I love and with people I work well with so I’m very happy right now!

Anyways as it has been a while I feel I should show you what artwork I have done recently. This pic depicts a girl in possibly one of the sexiest things to come out of China; the Chinese dress!

Ladies wearing this or a kimono get my utmost undivided attention very fast;)

Mai Shiranui, the sexiest female video game character to exist (imo). Sure she is not the first, however I would argue that not only can she kick butt and look damn good doing it;  but also has a very playful attitude about the whole thing. A real party girl.

Random notes:

I would have had this one done for that contest a while back for king of fighters, but I got lazy when everyone under the sun was drawing this character…..

Mai Shiranui is a video game character usually found in fighting games like fatal fury and king of fighters for the neo geo platform. If anyone owns a wii you can download and give her a whirl in fatal fury special. This character has also been quite popular for a wide variety of cosplayers for which I am grateful:) Just wiki her name for more info and some lovely pics. You’ll understand why she ranks among the top (if not the top) vg beauties.

Don’t have much to say, lately I’ve been too busy to update this site with anything….. I did manage to fix the uploading problem however so to celebrate I have posted some of my facebook illustrations. I use each of these as my profile photo in the previous months.

Yuki was a pointillism experiment I did in ps.

Goku and Vegeta are iconic manga characters created by Akira Toriyama. Here’s interpenetration of them……..Yes they look Asian it was deliberate…… Think of Vegeta as a pissed off yakuza guy and Goku as your typical Asian martial artist…..I’ll probably do 3d versions of them one day.

Recently I have been doing more work on assets for the media website I mentioned before, while I can not show anything I feel that things are shaping up nicely, hopefully by next spring/summer it will go live. On another note my participation on megaman movie is going well, with almost 40 shots under my belt thus far! This has been very fun but also time consuming a experience, hence my overall lack of activity on the site. One cool thing that happened to me was that I got to see something I helped work on, air on tv. It’s a story of two friends who go on a camping trip only to come across some unlikely camping buddies. You can catch the re-run tomorrow @ 8am on “bravo!” (channel 40). Beyond that the only other thing I did was check out the film festival that just recently passed.

Apparently the contest is just for winning a prize and not to see you stuff in the game…. So I am reconsidering submitting my stuff since you have to be part of the 50 states to be eligible for the prize anyway.

lately its been pretty busy for me since I’ve been working on a couple projects both 3d and 2d wise, so updating the site with really interesting stuff has been barren at best. Its a live action movie featuring the blue bomber and all his enemies from the first game. (as well a character from the later games). I’ve been put in charge of doing some of the 3d for the film along with the other vfx guys. A very talented director by the name of Eddie Lebron is heading the film. I find he is very fun to work with and I feel we are like minded with our appreciation for Asian cinema. Heck he even creates his own Asian films! Other than that I have been working on some illustrations for the king of fighters 12 contest that ignitions is holding. The deadline is until the 31st of this month so I am whipping up my own version of Mai and Leona for it. http://www.kingoffighters12.com/

Also they have a contest for Oboro Muramasa, a very cool side scroller from the guys that did Princess Crown, Odin sphere etc. Damn pretty stuff, however its a bit depressing since these guys seem to be one of the few developers who still remember games when they were bursting with color, and not trying to simulate the blandness of reality one hdr floating point value at a time…. In any case you can be sure I’ll enter that one too!

Still busy for me as usual, however I managed to get some free time to create this picture. I did mention that I would eventually draw another picture of Rei Ayanami previously, so here it is. What spurred me on to do this was a recent April fools joke in Japan that has now become a reality. This link has the details:

Basically its a Japanese produced live action short of the Evangelion series for those to lazy to check the link. I’m quite excited about this and am looking forward to it, this short will commemorate the release of the second re visioned Evangelion movie which I am patiently waiting for as well.

My thoughts on the cast are assuming they can stick to it:

-I cant picture Horikita Maki playing Rei but shes cute so what ever!

-I loves me some Toda Erika; shes quite a beauty, so I can forgive the fact she was picked to play Auska haha. They did change the characters name to compensate however.> Fyi Auska is part German.

-I think everyone else is perfect for their roles; the people playing Gendo and Misato respectively are reason enough for me to want to watch this.
