Still busy for me as usual, however I managed to get some free time to create this picture. I did mention that I would eventually draw another picture of Rei Ayanami previously, so here it is. What spurred me on to do this was a recent April fools joke in Japan that has now become a reality. This link has the details:

Basically its a Japanese produced live action short of the Evangelion series for those to lazy to check the link. I’m quite excited about this and am looking forward to it, this short will commemorate the release of the second re visioned Evangelion movie which I am patiently waiting for as well.

My thoughts on the cast are assuming they can stick to it:

-I cant picture Horikita Maki playing Rei but shes cute so what ever!

-I loves me some Toda Erika; shes quite a beauty, so I can forgive the fact she was picked to play Auska haha. They did change the characters name to compensate however.> Fyi Auska is part German.

-I think everyone else is perfect for their roles; the people playing Gendo and Misato respectively are reason enough for me to want to watch this.

here are 2 pictures of a character I thought up a few years ago. She is an ice elemental summon….. Er wha?…

I guess I have to explain; I am an rpg fan, and in most rpgs (at least the Japanese ones) you have at some point in time; the ability to summon mythical monsters to aid you in your battles. She was actually partially inspired from a final fantasy summon called Shiva, (unrelated Hindu god) and a character from a manga called shadow skill - Elle Ragu. Its not necessary to know exactly who I am talking about, but that she is a hot headed female martial artists with a well defined body (the illustrator really focuses on her musculature). Personally, I dig that kind of thing (within certain boundary of course) so when drawing my character I tend to do the same. These pics may not do my character’s physique justice but for these images I was trying to focus more so my coloring technique..Maybe I’ll upload some of the older images I drew when I was a teen. Lots of focus on back muscles, abbs and such.

Side note: She looks naked for now but I am still working out a new design for her ice armor…..

Its been pretty busy for me regarding creative stuff this month, hence the lack of updates. Assuming anyone actually looks at this site, I have a new image of the week for your viewing pleasure. This image is s just something I did for my facebook profile; I thought it looked pretty good so maybe I will do a 3d version of it one day and post it here.

I’m sick so I will keep this short. Hes a character I drew as A kid when I use to make homebrew comics…..Man they were bad but also so much fun! Fyi he is the guy wearing the armored suit I drew a month or two ago. That pic was a revision of his origional suit because I thought it looked too much like the Guyver armor.~Enjoy!

Because of the delay I think I will kick start this thing again with 3 images. One is for a contest regarding a sonic game. Unfortunately I did not win but then again I think I submitted kinda late. O’ well maybe next time. *side note*~While I will not put the (c) on the image, I still consider the image my personal property but not the characters and likenesses which are property of sega. The other two are sketches I did in ps just for the heck of it.

The first is a athletic girl; I drew her with a very well defined and lean physique but gave her a sorta doll face too. This has much to do with the character but I think I must explain my rational~ The reason I did this is that I find some athletes show their true face when they are waiting for their score. Maybe I’m just seeing the “glow” someone gets after a workout. Anyways its sort of a vulnerable look even the strong can have. The muscles are well defined because I want to show how hard this character worked to hone her craft. As for who she is, this is a character I use to draw when I was a teenager. She is a strong tomboyish girl with a rebellious streak in her. Despite all this however, she takes her training very seriously, which is why every once and a while you may see her “true” face during training and realize that shes a normal girl like the rest. The last is a random sketch of a swordsman, I did not think about it too much.

Here is the image of the week! Its also not the pic I mentioned earlier but I had a lot of fun drawing this one. I think it looks cool but am biased in my view. I felt like drawing this after I went to the Fan Expo and saw all the artist in “artist alley.”

The picture depicts a character I created for one of my stories; she is an assassin by night but a dancer by day. (cliche I know) She lives in a very technologically rich environment where towers reach beyond the clouds and where technology has reached a level of sophistication that one would almost think its magic. I have no real inspiration for this character but for her personality, It would be some what like Fay Valentine from the anime Cowboy Bebop. Why? cuz she has spunk, tenacity, a free spirit and and uses a lot of her feminine wilds to get what she wants. As for her look, the thing around her shoulders serves a purpose however its a secret for now. -note- all citizens have this sorta “collar” so it is not exclusive to her. She dresses herself this way because she is very confident in her looks….. Usually she will be wearing her clothing from dancing.

here it is, and no its not the one I said to look out for. This is just me messing around in photoshop.

I drew this a while back; its based on a character from an anime back in 1995 called neon genesis evangelion (shin seki evangelion). Her name is Rei Ayanami. Quite strange and mysterious this one is… That’s probably why I like the character so much. Admittedly, Its not the most dynamic picture in the world and probably not the best illustration of her either (she is pretty popular among anime fans), but I like this pic because it has a smokey kinda look in the background. It looks moody so I like. Maybe one day I will draw a better pic of this character in the future.

Possibly by next week I can show you the new illustration I’ve been working on for a while now. It is definitely the biggest illustration I have ever done so this is a first for me, please look forward to it!
