Here’s an image I drew depicting Mine Fujiko from the Lupin the 3rd manga and anime. I just wanted

to mess with black and white contrasts.

Regarding life, I’ve been busy with working on the Sonic film as well as my own personal projects. One such project is regarding my Japanese language studies. I hope to create a short story/ manga in Japanese before the end of the year. I still have a long way to go but at least it keeps me proactive in my school work haha!

Happy Valentines Day!!! If you spend excessive amounts of money because of the day then you are a fool! Be classy and making something your partner likes; be it food, art, music, ect… After all, in the end the worth should be the amount of thought and consideration for them and not the price tag.

In the case of the picture, I really enjoyed drawing this, and again; black and white. I think it is my forte or at the least something I lean toward quite a bit. Don’t worry though I’ll still keep up with my colored works:)

Gallery and life update…

Just edited the gallery to be a bit more streamline and easier to load on mobile devices. I also replaced the images with smaller sized versions to help in that respect.

As for whats new, lately I’ve been busy working on the sonic fan film with blue core studios as well as continuing my Japanese lessons. Once we get to the post production stage I’ll see if I can post some rendered shots:)

Image of the week! - Samsung galaxy s wallpapers?

Earlier this year I lost my phone and had to get a new one. The phone I chose was the samsung galaxy s (captivate). Now there is a lot I like about the phone and some things I hate, however what I really love is the screen used for the display. It uses o-led (organic light emitting diode) to back light the screen resulting in the most impressive contrast ratio I have ever seen on a phone. I just had to see how black and white illustrations would look on the phone so I created these images. The dimension match for the galaxy s however it may be a bit small or big for other android devices.

Please be aware they may not be completely work safe; that said there is no nudity… Ahem.

On a good note, here is more artwork from yours truly! The character in question is a portrait of Gally from the Japanese manga Battle Angel Alita- Last order. Its a personal favorite read of mine so I’m really happy to show this!

Hello! I’m still kicking I’ve just been really busy with life and new job opportunities. To be more specific I’m working for some buddies of mine in New York with regards to 3d, 2d, and anything else in between! It’s great since I’m doing what I love and with people I work well with so I’m very happy right now!

Anyways as it has been a while I feel I should show you what artwork I have done recently. This pic depicts a girl in possibly one of the sexiest things to come out of China; the Chinese dress!

Ladies wearing this or a kimono get my utmost undivided attention very fast;)

Minor updates to the site

I combined the image of the week page into the gallery page. Image of the week will still continue but the images will be found in the gallery category.

Also, I’m getting back in the habit of tagging my work. In the past I would use my name however I think its more classy to use the website. I do not intend to change this process anytime soon however if my name ever becomes big enough, then maybe my sig will be enough.

One final change is in regards to the work page. Instead of posting my resume I now post images of my freelance work. If anyone wishes to get more info about my work history or a copy of my resume; please feel free to contact me via the site contact form or at nigel@artsy.ca.

I shall be posting more work related images before the month is up so stay tuned for that:)

A quick update on me, I’ll be heading to Washington for the screening of the fan made film “Mega Man!” The film will be held at the Martin Luther King Memorial Library on the 15th. I think the turn out should be pretty good based on the reception the movie has gained. If anyone lives in that area feel free to stop by then!
